May 22nd 2019

Today we went to the narrows again but instead of kayaking we swam and hiked. We went into the nature reserve and saw two owls a hawk and another type of bird. We went into a building that had snakes, turtles, frogs and some stuffed animals. We were supposed to do a water sampling activity but unfortunately my group did not get to it. We jumped off a rope swing into the freezing cold water! During our lunch break we sat at a table and noticed some ants so we broke some of our food up and gave it to them. They really liked it so we gave them more, it was basically a feast for ants! They really loved anything sweet and sugary, a clump of icing was their favorite snack, there was at least ten ants on it!
